Hello everyone. Me and the wife are planning a trip to Indy to see our new niece/nephew (don't know if boy or girl yet) in September. I convinced my wife that the best time would be Sept 18 - 22. I then said that I think there might be a car show a few hours away, and do you think the family would miss me for a couple of days!
Anyway, I will probably be going to BG, but the SS will have to stay home. I have a few questions to help me plan my trip.
What time is the SSOA thing going to happen on Thursday? If I'm not bringing a car, should I still register? Is registering the only way to get the tours and the seminars? Once I get there, can I hang out with you guys? Maybe hitch a ride in your SS to some of the events, instead of driving my boring rental car?
I am very excited about attending this event, but bummed that I have to leave the SS at home.
Thnaks for any info.

We have access to the museum starting in the morning(with event registration). The plant tour is early afternoon, the scenic cruise late afternoon, then dinner and the go-kart track after that.

You need to register to get into the museum for the seminars and stuff. I went with a friend last year, and even though we were in one car, he needed to be registered to participate in everything.

I don't see why not. You'll have to hook up with someone that's heading down solo ... or we'll practice origami and stuff you into a back seat. Posts: 4222 | From: Winnipeg MB CA | Registered: Feb 2000

I vote for the oragami thing! If we have room(which somebody should), we will stuff you in one of the cars. With that many going , you should be able to hitch a ride with somebody! I can't wait for BG, and cant believe how fast its coming up! Posts: 1443 | From: Lake Oswego, Oregon | Registered: Dec 2001

Thanks for the info. I can probably stay only 1 night and it sounds like the SSOA stuff on Thursday will be a blast. So I think I may arrive on Thursday morning and hook up with you guys.
As for the oragami thing, I may have to take up yoga soon. I am 6'4" and not very flexible. After 2 months of yoga I could probably fit in the hatch area.

Hmmmmmmmmm, we have a ragtop, so you may want to try having stuff you into an office size wastebasket for practice!! Posts: 1443 | From: Lake Oswego, Oregon | Registered: Dec 2001
