Day afore yestiddy, I had an SES code pop up. I made an appointment at the dealer to get it checked and then discovered it was just a loose gas cap. I went ahead and took the car in to get the rotors turned since they were warped anyway. When I picked up the car, they said they cleared the error code out of the computer. I was cleaning the interior that evening when I noticed a big fat plug dangling there under the dash, kind of where my right knee is when I am driving. There is a cut out in the plastic around the plug. I don't remember ever seeing this plug before and I'm thinking there should be a cover that snaps into place over it. Can someone check their car for me and let me know if this is supposed to be covered? It is at the bottom of the dash, just to the left of the stereo/heater/air section. It's an opening about 1" by 2-2.5". Thanks!

yes that's what it is. I am not sure how it mounts but hopefully they just pulled it off it's mount and didn't break it off when they werereading and clearing the code. If they did break it, take it back and make them fix it.

I only see that obd2 port it's underneath and to the right of the steering column. That's all I have or can see. Is that what you are talking about?
