OK, so I am being exploited by Steve and Teri:
alright, alright, alright.. so I've never done a donut in my car. Why? I dunno, I always figured it was super hard on the car...
So the story goes like this.. it's raining outside.. and Joey, Teri and Steve decide it is definately time to head to the local store for some code red mountain dew floats and oreo cookies with milk... so I offer to drive... and we're on the way... we get everything we need (that in itself is a story of it's own) and are back in the car (still raining slightly with extremely wet parking lot).. and someone in the car says.. "burnout" or something.. don't remember.. anyway.. I rev her up and go sliding (forward) across the parking lot spinning all the way...
Then from in the back somewhere, I hear "no no no... a DONUT.. DO A DONUT!! COME ON!"
So uhh.. I start to attempt one (pathetic) because I'm worried... when Steve offers to take the helm...
... and around.. and around and around and around we spin in the SS.. over and over again... right in the parking lot .. spinning and spinning..
The concept is easy.. and when I get brave I will do one.. but I about **** myself as my SS is spinning and spinning in circles
I'm sure I've forgot something they wanted posted in regards to this.

Hey, J.R. At least Steve did cookies clockwise and counter-clockwise so we weren't dizzy! You were squealing like a little girl!
Just think of how easy cookies will be when you don't have passengers in the back seat. Joey and I were about ready to pee our pants laughing back there. It was a blast.
If & when you visit us out here in the Pac NW, he'll take you out in the '69 and give you some donut lessons in it, too! It's even more fun on dry pavement because you get to see the results!

We come out of the grocery store from our munchy run (thats a WHOLE other story in itself!), and pile the 4 of us into JR's car. Its raining like crazy, and the huge parking lot is empty, and totally covered with a layer of water. So I start telling JR to do cookies. So what does he do? A burnout! Then he tries to leave! We tell him(again) to do a cookie. So he does another burnout, then goes to leave the parking lot! So finally we get out of him that he has never done one, and doesn't even know how! This is a guy who is on his 3rd LS1 F-body, and he still doesnt know, nor has he ever done, a cookie! So I try to expain how to do it from the backseat, and he cant figure it out, and it appears that he is scared, and he even said he thought the car would roll over! So JRsays "well then you do it!" (His mistake, I guess! ) At this point, I cant get out of the back seat fast enough, and Joey red is so excited about all of this, he doesnt even think to get out so I can get out! Finally, we all get moved around, I am now driving, JR is in the passenger seat, Joey Red is in the Right rear seat, and HTWLSS in the left rear seat. So I explain the process to JR as we are doing it.
We get going in a large radius circle(kind of like doing a power circle), second gear, going around and around, just till it starts to understeer, let off the gas quickly, thenstab the throttle to the floor. Now let me tell you, its much harder with people in the backseat,as the extra ballast keeps traction high, and spinning low. Of course, its probably impossible to actually do a power circle in these conditions, and I wasnt trying to do one anyway!
So we go spinning circles as we are cruising across the parking lot, all the while, JR is screaming like a little girl, and Joey Red and HTWLSS are laughing so hard, I thought they were going to pee their pants!
Then we do it again the other direction! Its was lots of fun, and no damage was done to the wet conditions!
THEN, JR mentions he couldnt do a power brake, so I take him on the road up by the Corvette plant, and proceed to show him how do a power brake. Its also hard to do with people in the backseat, especially when you have to be easy on the weak LS1 clutch! So we did a few quick ones of those, then went back to the room for code red floats (and later on , code red "sinks").
All in all , it was a fun time, and I hope JR was ok with it all. No animals (or car tires) were injured in the making of this fun! Maybe next year we can try it in the dry. And if JR ever comes out our direction , we can try them as much as he wants in the '69, as its REALLY easy and fun, no matter how many people are in that car.
(Thats my story, and I am sticking to it, unless informed I was wrong!!!)
