It's Gino's fault that the power outage hit just as we were to start the tour of the St. Catharines GM Engine Assembly plant yestesday. Power went out just as we got to our first stop on the tour. Boy did that plant get quiet in a hurry.
Also a lot of very pissed off people. Apparently all the cutting and tapping bits would have to replaced (carbide and they break under such a sudden stop) not to mention getting all the NC machinery reset.
WTGG!!!!

PS: at least we made it through the dyno tour where an LS6 was being but through a 260 hr durability test. Nice!!

Only took 24 hours of working straight to get it all cleaned up...WTGG

The black-out had to be Gino's fault, waiting for the newspaper to confirm it.
Hope everyone in it made out OK.

OK....(rant mode on.......)
Gino....it's not bad enough that you caused the blackout....but the power in the RenCen didn't just go out
OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.............
It jolted on and off about 15 times....(as I was POSTING....) my computer went nutso......then....it jolted on and off again another dozen or so times. (think there will be one PC left?????)
One of the guys in our office was on the phone with New York...and when they figured the power was off in both places, we thought.....oh...this is NOT a good thing........
(WTGG..........)
23 flights down to get out of the RenCen...glad I'm not on the uppermost floors......
(to be continued........)

(.....lesseee......in our last very exciting episode, Fbodfather was making his way down 23 flights of stairs with lotsa other peeps.......)
So.....get out of the RenCen...and over to the garage...and of course, the gates won't open....so there is the world's largest traffic jamb INDOORS.......that only took about a year to clear up....and the air to clear up as well.....
(WTGG.......)
Took forever to get home....(and I know this next one sounds like Yogi Berra......) but when it's dark out, it's REALLY DARK OUT.....
Only one battery powered radio in my house...and it uses C cells....4 of em..... I have 6,052 batteries on hand.......every size imaginable, but NO..........GINO took the C - cells...which meant several trips to the truck to listen to the radio......
Next morning...leaving for Seattle...................
(...so, will the Fbodfather make it to the Airport?????? Will Northwest Airlines be flying? Will GINO fix it so that it rains????????
......................and another thing...................
What about "little Jimmy????"
These questions and more will be answered in the next very exciting episode of "IT'S ALL GINO's FAULT!!!!"

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!
In our last very exciting episode of "IAGF!" we saw that Gino brought the Motor City (and the entire northeastern US and Ontario......) (WTGG...........) to a standstill.
We once again turn our attention to TFBF.......
SO......next morning, I get up....Northwest claims flight 213 will be leaving as scheduled for Seattle...so it looks like I'll make the PNWCC/WCC/CCI meet in Bellevue....the gates keep changing, but what the hey......the news says we'll not get our power back until at least Sun Eve or Monday...SO.........I pack.......empty the refrig. and freezer.... (that was kinda expensive) and unplugged the fridge and other electronics and pulled the breaker on the A/C because of surge damage.....left for the airport....and (you guessed it,) GINO causes Biblical Proportion Floods!!!!!
Now..those of you who have been to the Motor City know that the Interstates are below street level....which means electric pumps move the runoff water...that is, unless GINO has caused massive power interruptions...........I had water skiiers behind the truck on the way to the airport, I swear.............
(to be continued)
(all together now: WTGG..........)

(continued saga of WTGG -- IAGF!!!)
So...get to the airport and it takes 1 HOUR to get from I-94 to GM Air Transport where I park...the guy tells me "you ain't going anywhere...the road to the Northwest Terminals (goes under the runways) has 2-4 feet of standing water and it won't be opening anytime soon....."
(HE even yelled "WTGG!!!!)
So...I asked him if any of our jets were going west...LA/SF/Seattle/Denver...ANYWHERE west of Detroit...... But NO........GINO fixed it so there were no jets going anywhere NEAR the west coast........
So.....I'm stuck at the airport....can't leave on a jet.....can't go back to Grosse Pointe because I-94 is under water........so I said "Welll....Road trip to MARS!!!"
(to be continued...not that you really give a rip at this point...........)

(in our last very exciting episode of IAGF!, the Fbodfather is setting out for Mars...the town, not the planet......)
So.....I hit I-275....to Ohio......Everyone, and I DO MEAN EVERYONE was leaving Michigan in their MiniVans...driving in formation.....at 7 mPH below the speed limit.......
To wrap this ridiculousness up......
Went to Mars...missed the event in Washington STate...which meant that I missed seeing all my westcoast friends....drove back amongst the fleet of minivans AGAIN......and it was 91 degrees in the house when I got here..........
Cranked the A/C after hitting the breakers...and guess what? GINO blew a circuit board in the electronics of the furnace when the power went back on.
The Fbodfather is NOT pleased, GINO!!!!!!!!!!
(once again,...in unison......WTGG!!!!!!!)

It is Gino's fault that the Fbodfather needed a convertible for a GM V.P.that was going to be in a parade in downtown Detroit on Saturday morning.QEK was closed with no power. I drove to downtown Detroit and was there early.Guess what, the parade was canceled. Thanks Gino! I could have slept in and would not have taken my car thru some bad looking neighborhoods! Got the BBQ tank refilled on the weekend. I was driving the SS. The kid at the propane station says "Nice ride. Is it a six?". "No", I said, "It's an 8". Talking further with the kid, I realized that he was brought up to think cars only have 4 or 6 cylinders, and the faster ones have 6's. What's this world coming to? Its got to be Gino's fault.

Well, it would be Ginos fault if we locked it, or left it open. So, either way, its still his fault! I say we leave it open until BG.
BTW, thanks Gino! for not allowing us to get to see the F-bod father We drove 3 hours to Seattle, stayed overnight. I was going to attend an auto-x in Tacoma, but figured I would rather see TFBF. But noooooooooo, you have to go mess it up. So I miss my auto-x, AND seeing scott. I was not happy
I say we leave it open!
