Ok ,so I finally got SOME of the numbers crunched for the BG trip. I will get the rest soon and post those too. Here goes:

Left Hillsboro, OR at 8:10am, Saturday, Sept 14th (18244 miles)
Returned home to Hillsboro, OR at 3:50pm on Saturday September 28th (24091 miles).

Total gallons gas used: 307.34
Average price per gallon: $1.61
Highest price per gallon:$1.80 in Denver, CO
Lowest price per gallon:$1.46 in BG, Kentucky!!

Average mpg on trip:19.42(towing trailer too!).
Best mpg=23.00 from Denver to Colby, KS
Worst mpg=13.97 driving around BG during show.

Total miles driven 5845
Total $ spent on gas on trip $496.28

The car weighed 4340lbs (with passengers)(w/trailer attatched).
The trailer weighed an additional 1440 lbs(loaded, and attatched to car).

Met 843.6 interesting people.

I will get the other info up when I get a chance! Hope that gives something to talk about!

Good Info. I wonder who .6 is.

On a technical matter ... nfb = non F Body. I think you post is totally relavant to the purpose statement of the SSOA and provides lots of relevant F-body info ... so "nfb" was not required. [Smile]

Figures....

I only averaged 22.7 MPG [Eek!] There was only one leg of the trip where I did better than 24. The portion of driving around BG, autoX, and drag racing resulted in 13 MPG.

No where in your report I see where you had the oil changed or not. You certainly should do it soon if you have not already. [Smile]

The oil will be changed shortly(after all, it was highway, not city miles, so its ok!).

Who says Gino is interesting?

If he had been interesting, then he must only be .4 of a person, because your figure was an even number.

I just put the .6 in there to see if you guys were paying attention.

We just kept all of our receipts, then organized them when we got back............ now obbSSd on the other hand........! He did a nightly spread sheet of EVERYTHING, and I do mean everything. Ask him to post it! hehehehe!

Actually, it's not a spreadsheet...it's a database. And it wasn't on EVERYTHING...just my mileage [Wink]

Database, Schmatabase.
What about the part about where you enter all the mods on your SS and the odometer reading at the time?

I do believe THIS PAGE is being neglected.

U.S. or Canadian Gallon.

I had a best of 25.9, worst of 19 MP(US)G.
The worst is not accurate in that I only put in $10.00 when we arrived in Bowling Green to keep the level low for autoX and the drags making it was a very large fill that the worst wasaveraged over.

Ahhh, see...but I was only addressing Steve's comment about me recording "everything" on the trip (and I didn't make any mods on the trip [Razz] )

And yes, Nate...I realize I'm slacking on my web site. One of these days, I'll actually get to it.

Why don't you tell the class what fields you set up for entering your trip info? We'll let them decide what "everything" is.

We scribbled the odometer reading on our gas receipt and then stuffed them in an envelope.

I don't mind PDA, but my girlfriend is a little more self-conscious about kissing in front of others [Wink] But yeah, I have an HP Jornada (Pocket PC) that I don't actually use that often.

I believe the correct term is geek, thank you very much [Big Grin]

That Toshiba looks cool, though. If I used mine more, I might be tempted to upgrade.

There is a DISTINCT difference between a geek and a nerd Steve. Didnt you know that?

Geek-A person who is single-minded or accomplished in scientific or technical pursuits but is felt to be socially inept.

Nerd-A foolish, inept, or unattractive person.

And I think you can consider yourself schooled on the difference between a geek and a nerd.
