A tad chilly this a.m. Tonight I'll have to winterize the sprinkler system. Oh well, the seasons change - time marches on.
Have a great day friends

I get it ready, shut off the water, and do 2 of the outside lines. I have a friend come over with his compressor and blow out the lines that are underground. Posts: 5558 | From: Windsor, Ontario. Canada | Registered: Feb 2000

Good morning all. Rain finally stopped and the wind is gone. Time to cut the lawn. Was a strange day yesterday. 40's, windy and rainy all day, then the rain stopped last night and when I came out of hockey around midnight, it was 63 degrees!
Maybe have a 4 wheeler sold tonight too!

While the roofers were doing their tear off of our old roof yesterday, they let all of the old material slide off the roof. It launched to our new garage and there are several tar marks down the newly painted siding, and a scratched window.
Steve had to cover the hot tub because the tarp guy showed up late and the tear off crew didn't wait for him.
They also managed to dislodge the B-vent from our water heater. The water heater is in the laundry/utility room of the house (where my geriatric cat lives). The room was thick w/CO fumes when we got home after work. Real nice, huh? I'd have been really pissed if we had come home to a dead cat. I turned the water heater to the vacation setting when I left today. Maybe that will keep it from cycling and the only fumes (if they dislodge it again) will be from the pilot instead of the burner on full blast. I also left the window open for more fresh air return.
As I left the house today, the new roofing was being delivered, and every time a bundle fell off the conveyor, the whole house shuddered.
I'll go home at lunch to check on things. I have to make sure they install enough vents. They were in a box in the front yard next to the tarp intended for the hot tub, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll get put on the house.
If we'd wanted stuff screwed up, we'd have done the roof ourselves. This is a good roofing company and we were pleased with the job they did on the garage, but it makes me wonder if there are any competent people out there sometimes. Getting good people is a crap shoot, anymore.
Of course, you know whose fault it really is.

i was just talking to a co-worker about restaurants that should really be out here in the N.W. but are not. such as the Cracker Barrel, In and Out burger, Sonic burger, Boston Market, and Steak and Shake.
dont ask me why these awesome restaurants are not out here. it almost makes a person want to move. Posts: 1579 | From: Portland, OR. | Registered: May 2001

Good afternoon to all! A perfect day to do a Disney park if you are in town... and not stuck at work like myself. Might get to a sunny 80 today... 60 at night with no rain. If anything, it's perfect convertible weather. Gotta love Florida in the Fall!

I used to visit the one in Corvallis for lunch. I never did hear why they closed down.
