Im so proud of my friend. He has a 2002 SS and I have never seen him race from a dead start until this Saturday. One of his friends put over $12,000 in mods including a S/C in to his Mustang and wanted to race real bad. He was talking all this bs.Well my friend is stock but I said dude you should race him I think you will win and my other friend said the same thing so he thought ok. Now there was a group of like 30 people there getting ready to watch all of them except me and my friend thought this stang was gonna rip the camaro a new one. They stopped and lined up and they were off. The camaro was off to an early lead, maybe a bumper or less when they went by but at the end the stang one by less than an inch. Being the vocal person that I am I started to ask who was saying bad stuff about the Camaro yada yada yada. When they both returned everyone was on my friends ball$ it was great. The dude in the stang was like oh man im gonna get this and this then I want another race. I told him when he gets all that maybe he can race me It was awesome people asked if he was powershifting because he chirped 2nd. I lol and said nope he can chirp third also. I was so happy for my friend. Later being the a$$ that the stang driver was and the a$$ that I am I asked him how much the S/C cost and everything he has done to his car. He told me and asked why. I said one of my friends has a stang and we always wonderd how much $ it would take to keep up with a stock SS

Gotta love it!

Hope it was in a nice safe place. Next time take him to a real track, you'll see how strong the LS1's finish!

I have a friend with a Mustang, as well. He's added a super charger, new gears, exhaust, tires, etc, etc.. He says each dollar he spends is an attempt to catch me in my SS. He hasn't yet! [Smile]
