It is time for the first engine mod and would welcome recommendations on what would be the next logical mod considering what we have to start with (see signature below), but we are basically talking about an stock '02 SS w/345 hp SLP package w/dual/dual exhaust. Prefer reasonably priced bolt-on suggestions. Thanks.

Pulleys or long tube headers would be a good start. [Smile]

Here's some suggestions.... not knowing just what SLP mods you already have.....

An air filter lid (SLP, MTI, others) & filter

MAF (SLP, Granetelli)

If you're up to the cost.... Headers will give you the most gains without opening the engine. Don't bother with short tubes...very little, if any, gains. If you're going to do it, go long tube.

Ahh yes... GEARS. Always a good idea! And, with the 6sp... the gas mileage is still fine.

Steve's done some installations on a few new SS's, including an Anniversary car, that showed some nice gains.

The most impressive combination of mods so far has been on Ken Fender's SS. He's in our area and turned out some nice #'s on the dyno.

If Ken sees this, I'm sure he'll like to tell you about his mods, and if you give Steve a holler, he can tell you about the other cars he's helped on.

Thanks for all the responses! My goals are not specific, just a little more horsepower. Have put 10K on the car and we are used to the power and would just like to do a little something to feel a little more in the seat of the pants. Keep the great suggestions coming! What about a "Y" pipe change? Any gains to be had there?

I've got the 4.10 gears and it is a definite noticeable improvement. I'm mostly doing suspension mods right now, the cars already have all kinds of power, I want the car to be able to handle it before I add more power.
