That's the plan! Hopefully, with the ZFX, I can put on as many coats over the next few months, as I have over the last 3 years. I least I'll give it a try. Posts: 2359 | From: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada | Registered: Jul 2001

Heh, heh... John - how the heck did you get all that Zaino OFF the car to prep it for painting?!? Just pullin' your leg, of course! The car looks dynomite!! Very tasteful and not overdone. Congrats on a handsome and totally individual look!

Actually, that was a major concern. To make very sure the Zaino was removed, the shop gave it a good wash down with rubbing alcohol, plus their normal cleaning agents.

Just the scoop and stripes, then buffed and polished the areas that were scuffed during the taping and cleaning process.

Thanks, everyone, for your supportive feedback.
It's always concerning how the final product will turn out when you're developing a unique design from scratch, especially when it's painted on. It would have been a real pain (in the you-know-where) to fix. Posts: 2359 | From: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada | Registered: Jul 2001

This whole paint thing is partly your fault, Art (& Ralph's, & Erin's fault as well). I really like what you've done to make your SS unique. As a result, I wanted my SS to be unique, too. Posts: 2359 | From: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada | Registered: Jul 2001

Karen and I have 'penciled' in the dates on our calendar. Since we've now seen the Assembly Plant and Museum, we're looking forward to see what new activities will be planned for BG '03.

The SSOA will be a prominent feature at the show this year, so let's start planning how we'll make ourselves seen and heard.
