I am looking for a pair of 01 or 02 fbody exhaust manifolds that maybe somebody took off of their car to install headers. I also need the flanges that bolt to the manifolds, if anybody has a pair they took off/cut off. Hopefully they will be cheap! Thanks! [Smile]

Steve,

I have them from my 02 SS. Only 9K miles on them. What flange are you talking about?

Actually, the flanges I am referring to are actually the part of the exhaust pipe that bolts to the manifolds. A gasket goes between the manifolds and the pipe flange. The cat converter is also part of the pipe assy, but I dont need those, so they could be cut off, or I will do it. This will give me something to weld my new exhaust stystem pipes to. I am installing this in my 68 Camaro, so I dont need anything other than that! Thanks, and let me know what you have, and how much $$ you want. [Smile]

Are you putting an LS1 in your 68 Camaro? Why don't you put on headers right away? Yes, the flange is part of the cat. When do you need them? They are pretty heavy to ship. I could bring them along to Bowling Green. What is a fair price?

SScamaro: I am doing the install now, and hope to have it up and running by the end of Febuary at the latest. I am putting stock manifolds on it for a couple of reasons: 1) they fit fine, and I want to show how this conversion can be done by someone on somewhat of a budget. 2)I want to do dyno runs to get a baseline before I start modding the engine. 3)I plan on putting headers on it later when I get the money. 4)I also plan on doing a head/cam swap, and hopefully a supercharger when funds allow.

A fair price is one thing, which I totally understand. I guess what I should do is just get the flanges, and use the manifolds I have for now, instead of paying for a part and for shipping that heavy part only to use it for a very short while. Besides I am really cheap/poor! [Big Grin]

However, since this is only a temporary thing, and I HAVE a set of 2000 manifolds, I may just go with those and some block off plates for the egr system for now. I still need the flanges though.

Leadfoot: would you be willing to at least have the flanges cut off of the cats? I will email you! [Big Grin]

I just tried to send you an email, and it bounced back with a fatal error. I have no idea what that means, but I guess you can email me at mcgees68@hotmail.com

Thanks! [Big Grin]

Steve,
Soulds like a killer set-up.Too bad you don't live closer. Sorry things did not work out. Maybe you could pick up manifolds alot closer to you.

Thanks for trying! I will figure something out. I may even just make some flange plates if I have too, since they will temporary anyway. Or maybe somebody will come up with some flanges they dont want, and are willing to cut off for me [Big Grin] [Big Grin]
