I have a 2002 SS LE with an SLP 80 mm. mass air flow sensor and straight bellow. The throttle body is the stock 60 mm. Would it be advisable to follow up with an 80 mm. throttle body too? Will the computer go haywire or will it reprogram itself? Will it make a difference in power or throttle response? What brand of throttle body--BBK or what? Thanks, guys, for any help.

have you noticed much difference with the 80mm SLP MAF? i was just thinking about it and was wandering if it was worth it? i think the 80mm T/B should be ok, don't think it will mess up your computer. it would be nice to have the whole intake at 80mm instead of large (80) to small (60). BBK is a good brand. don't konw of that many other manufacturers out there for 80mm T/B for the LS1.

Hey NateSS,

SLP MAF supposedly boosts about 15 HP. However, you feel it most at full or near-full throttle after slapping it to the metal when the engine calls for a sudden surge of fuel.

Morgan Motorsports markets a T/B on their website but they seem to be marketing the BBK and not their own manufacture. I could be wrong. Good Luck.

T.
