Stock 97 SS Vert. 56,000m Corrected. 246.8hp/288lb' at the rear wheels. From what I have seen this is a bit on the weak side. Also I don't think it's ever had a tune-up.

wow, I hope it is on the weak side, i'd be very dissappointed if those were the true numbers. I've never had mine dynoed, and I was just wondering out of curiosity. Hopefully i'll get some more relpies!!

I don't have a 1997 SS but do have a 1997 30th Anniversary Z-28. The only big difference in the LT1's between the 2 cars is the air induction and the exhaust. My automatic stock Z-28 made 256 rwhp and 280 torque.Your hp may be a bit higher with the better exhaust.

Yes, you're right about the differences. Well, I guess those numbers will help me, their can't be a whole lot of difference between the two, maybe a bit but not a whole lot. Thanks for the information, and nice car by the way!
