Does anybody else have this problem? My trip/oil odometer does not go past 999.9 miles...it just resets back to 0.0 miles. It has done this since the car was new.

Not sure if it's a PCM problem or an I.C. problem. Anyhow, I'm getting ready to take the SS in for a few warranty items and I wanted to do some research on this before taking her in.

If the "trip" odometer has 4 digits, isn't it normal to reset at 1000 miles? I don't think you have a problem.

My '97 (also with digital odometers) used to be able to go up to 9999.9 before rolling over. I'm not sure if they changed it for 2001 or if I have some soft of bug.

Can anybody with a 2001 confirm that this is normal?

Hmmmm...seems kinda weird to call it a trip/ OIL odometer if it resets every 1000 miles. Guess I'll mention it to the service consultant anyhow.

It resets after it gets to 999.9 for the trip. I have a 01 SS. Also, my 99 Z24 did the same. BOth are digital readouts
