I am typing this message because I am looking for information concerning a vehicle that I am contemplating purchasing. Here is the information and the questions that I have.
The car is a 1997 30th Anniversary Z/28 Camaro SS Convertible.
According to the current owner, there were only 136 30th Anniversary Camaro SS Convertible's produced. Is this number correct? The current owner claims that of those 136 cars, 75 of them were fitted with an automatic transmission (which is what this car has). Is this information correct?
According to the window sticker that the current owner has, it states that the SS package came with "Camaro SS Key FOBS". The current owner is not in possession of these. Does SLP have a picture that shows what these look like and is there any significance, besides originality/collectibility, to these? Can they currently be purchased, and if so, how much would they cost?
The window sticker also states that the SS package on this car came with "Optional SS Front Floor Mats (cost $99)". The floor mats in the car are stiched with the 30th Anniversary logo, however, they do not have any type of "SS" stiching or logo on them. Does SLP have a picture that shows what these look like and is there any significance, besides originality/collectibility, to these? Can they currently be purchased and if so, how much would they cost?
Also, according to the window sticker, the car is equipped with "Optional Torsen Torque Sensing Limited Slip Differential W/AAM Aluminum Cover (Cost $999)". What is the gear ratio within this differential?
Besides the above listed options, the documentation with the car states that it is also equipped with the "Optional 30th Anniversary package (cost $349)", "Optional Performance Exhaust System (cost $499)", and "Optional Oil Cooler Package (cost $299)". My question is, what are the other options, if any, that were available from SLP for this car?
"THANK YOU" in advance for taking the time to address my questions. I look forward to any responses.

As I recall the production figures he has given you sound about right. Both the key fobs and the floor mats are still available from SLP performance parts. I would recommend getting them since they were options that came with the car and do enhance it's value, in my opinion. The only option which was offered that you didnot list was performance lubricants ( synthetic ). the 30th you are looking appears to be a well optioned convertible. Just curious what is the mileage and asking price. Good Luck!

Welcome Chris! You do have a lot of questions.I don't know how accurate these #'s are for a 30th Anniversary SS but here is what I found. Total Production of 30th Anniversary SS's
Total 30th - 957 (100 LT4)
Coupe - 240 - (73 Auto - 167 6spds.) T-Top - 466 - (156 Auto - 310 6spds.) Convertible - 251 - (115 Auto - 136 6spds.)
The Key Fobs came with the dash plaque and you still may be able to order them from SLP.
The optional floor mats did indeed have the 30th Anniversary logo embroidered into them instead of SS.I believe that these mats may be discontinued thru GM.
Sounds like you have the original SLP window sticker that would list all of the optional SLP content.
With the optinal rear differential ,(now Zexel Torsion now standard from 1998-2002)you should have the 3.23 rear axle ratio.

The car did come with the synthetic oil and yes, the current owner does have the documentation.
Are there any other options that could be purchased for this car?
Are you saying that the floor mats "should" have the SS logo, just the 30th Anniversary logo, or both? Just want to clarify.
The car has 44K miles on it and the owner is asking $18,500 for it. The Chevrolet sticker price for the car was $29,036. The SS Sticker price for the options from SLP added $6244. Add the two up and you get a sticker price of $35,280
Anybody else out there have any information that they could pass along?

Chris, I have almost the exact same car. Your auto/vert combination is 1 of 115. Mine is a M6 manual trans vert, 1 of 136. Thats where the 136 # comes from. There were 75 auto/hardtop (CC1 delete). Thats where the 75# comes from. You are about ready to buy one very rare and beautiful car.

You were told by the current owner that 136 convertibles were made and 75 of those had an auto trans. I was trying to show some correlation between accurate information and the numbers that he supplied.
Here they are again. See if you can see some of the same #s
