The weather held out at Milan last night and we got lots of runs in.
The "experts" say it was a little cool for good traction at the line, that seemed to be the common complaint. I'm going to calculate the average of all my runs and will post later.
The EMCC is very gracious to allow all comers to join in.
One quick storey - on my last run I was lined up with a very stock looking Dodge Ram, 3/4 ton 4 X 4 club cab. Would you believe he ran a 13.9! I beat him, but he was really moving for a big 4 X 4!
Have a great weekend all. Play hard be safe

Morning all. Back from two days in Dearborn MI. Had a chance to stop at the self proclaimed "Corvette King," Les Sanford Chevrolet. Tons of Vettes from late 80's models to 2003 Z06's sitting on the lot. It was pretty cool.
Havea good day.

Should have let us know . Grew up in Dearborm (& NO there are no deer born in Dearborn ) . Chilious from the Wings has a restaurant a block away from Stanford (dont know if its open yet) and the brother in law has a bar down the road (Millers). Stanford just about takes up the whole block with Vettes .

Good morning all. Finally had to take a day off sick. I went through the whole winter and it seems that everyone was sick at one time or another except me. I feel crummy today but I will try to get to work this afternoon.
Sounds like a blast Brian. Good times! Have a great weekend all.

Brian, Greg, nice to hear that weather and conditions were favourable for your evening at the track. You power shifting yet Brian?
Y'all have a great day, eh
First and second on most runs depending how I felt, until near the end when I hit the clutch pedal and it stayed on the floor! Did that twice in runs against Rock. I bailed on the runs, Ben, my son, said there was a lot of smoke coming from the rear during that time. Of course, I was bouncing the rev limiter - right foot planted - and the clutch pedal stuck to the floor. Don't know what happened. I went for one last turn, that was when I lined up against the Dodge Truck. I was going to just do a practice session, but when I hit second gear and looked he was right beside me - I figured I better "get into" it.
That truck ran a 1.9 60' and finished 13.9.
I did find that power shifting created a lot of tire spin into second even with the Nittos. I guess it was just too cold. Temp was about 60 degrees and cloudy, track officials were spraying but they said it was too cold for the glue to stick to the track.
However, it was still fun!
We saw 2 Honda M/C run the full 1/4 with the front wheel in the air! And, and Ford 4 X 4 Power Stroke Diesel smoke his tires and 2/3 down the track - talk about tourque! Posts: 5558 | From: Windsor, Ontario. Canada | Registered: Feb 2000

Hi everyone. I haven't been around lately. We had some tornadoes last night that took out the GM plant in Oklahoma City. The weather calls for the potential for more storms tonight.

Cheli's is not open yet, we looked at it
We did go to Mongolian BBQ, my friends who went to the class with me had never been to one. They loved it.
I was kind of busy otherwise I would of tried to set something up with you, Greg, Brian, and anyone else in the near area.
