You can't order from the SSOA until we have the pre-order page ready!
The other sites selling the die-casts are not associated w/the SSOA. Welly prematurely announced the item to those dealers. We were supposed to get some time to sell our portion of the run first. I would like to see the SSOA distribute the 500 we've ordered before sending people to someone else who is making a profit off of our design (besides, we paid all the set-up fees). Our goal is to break even on this.

That's why I said I'd do whatever it takes to purchase said Camaro from the SSOA. But if the SSOA runs out, I'll have no other choice but to get it from another source. I think that's an ultra-cool piece of Camaro-bilia.

I'll make sure our active message forum members who want a die-cast get first dibs. My preference is to deliver as many as possible to everyone in Bowling Green. I don't really want to hassle with the expense of buying shipping cartons, packing material, dealing with shipping damage, etc. We'll have a hard time breaking even. The more we can deliver in person, the better.

Teri thanks for letting us know what has been happening with this collectable. I have been collecting models for the last few years now including from the different mint companies. I am very interested in this model as well. Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003

I can't make Bowling Green this year as my vacations are for the first two weeks of September. I will be back at work the week of the Bowling Green event.
Have a great time all and hope you post some pics.
By the way I hope to be able to get one of those babies too. Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003

That's a good idea Ed, everyone going to BG could pick them up for the people in their area. That saves Teri the shipping, and affords an opportunity for the members to meet up after BG. SLP day in NJ will be about 2 weeks after BG so many from the NE could meet there also.
And thanks again Teri (and others) for doing this for us... great job.

If there are people who want one of the cars and aren't going to Bowling Green, but are going to SLP Day in NJ. Let me know. I could bring theirs along back from Bowling Green and give them to those people at SLP Day. Just trying to help out. Ralph

I'm north of Detroit, but won't be able to get to BG. If things can be arranged, I'd wouldn't mind coming down your way to pick one up, as I am definately interested in getting one of these cars.

Since they come 6 to a case, we'll encourage a group purchase so B.G. attendees can take some home with them for distribution to other SSOA members.
Final price won't be determined until we get the invoice for the total cost of the job + freight.
