The TFbM gang was returning to Toronto from the Woodstock area along Hwy. 401 yesterday after having been rained out of our 1st drag event of the season at St. Thomas. The convoy was cruising along at a sedate 110 km/hr (in the rain) betweeen Woodstock and Kitchener when a 35th LE comes flying up on us in the outside lane doing about 120-125 km/hr. Very nice. But following immediately behind the 35th was a new Caddy XLR roadster with "2004 XLR" Ontario plates! Very, very nice! Maybe just a tad early for these things to be on the road? Trying to get to Oshawa incognito on a rainy Saturday morning, eh? Glad to see a couple of the brass airing out their weekend "loaners"

Yeah. That was something. I was at the back of the convoy and saw them coming up....quickly. Barely, had time to get it out on the FRS. Thank goodness for VOX. Works really nice.
I'll bet the Caddy is for the car magazine journalists as an evaluation model. It is about the right lead time for fall introduction/articles.

I agree with Bill. It is probably a pre-production car being evaluated before full production begins in a few weeks.
