Not to be out done by my fellow Camaroholic bretheren, I have finally finished building a model of my vert using the 35th LE kit from Revell and a '94 Z28 vert kit from AMT. Thought I would share how it turned out...

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. My wife is happy to get the dining room table back. LOL. Time to start thinking about that Welley's diecast conversion. More pics can be found HERE.

Looks great [Smile] . I think you have more metal flake on the model than GM has on all of their cars [Big Grin]

Here's a Welly conversion. (as you did for the model, ...a '94 Z28 "donor" was used):

Looks great. SSOA is developing quite a collection of 'mini' SS's.

Looks great! How hard was it installing the new front end to the older model? [Cool]

Actually I put the rear end of the '94 on the '02 model. The cut is between the the top half of the door and the rear quarter-panel, down to the side molding, then back to the wheel well. since the scale and the dimensions of both kits are the same, once I decided the best place to cut, it wasn't to hard at all.

Thanks.I have 3 of the 1997 30th Anniversary convertible model kits that I want to convert a 35th LE coupe into the convertible.May have to cut the bodies like you did. What should I do about the rear deck stripes being shorter on the coupe than the convertible deck lid? [Smile]

You could probably get a second set of decals for the 35th from Revell. Might be able to do something with the extra set of hood stripes to mimic the deck lid stripes. I'll take look at the set I have left over when I get home.

Still looking for a 96/97 SS for the hood scoop, beginning to think it doesn't exist and my mini "clone" won't look right with the 98+ model hood. [Frown]

Looking at the decals, I think you could do something with an extra set of strips to make the stripes longer for the vert decklid. You are welcome to the extra stripe decals I have. Just let me know where to send them and I'll drop them in the mail.

Who makes the '94 Donor car you used for the Welley's conversion? ETRL? That turned out great!
