Since most of us here are originals/old timers/regulars from the SLP Board, I felt it appropriate to encourage your participation in a thread on the SLP Board. There's an important question posed that I'd like you all to ponder and answer if you can.
We wouldn't have a 4th Generation Camaro SS without SLP, so reflect on that and post your thoughts.

why.... Some folks cant take constructful criticism well. ask DaddySS, he knows what I am hinting at.
Safe to say Dave is not happy about it.
Bottom line, the thread is no joke. If you are interested in seeing the SLP Forums remain active, I encourage folks to post up in that thread.

Done. Sheesh, every time I get started on one of those they turn into a book. I love SLP regardless of some of the stuff that goes on in the lounge. I hope they are wildly successful and the board goes on a long time!

Done and am glad to help out. Can't understand why they would want to take the message board down. Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003

I hope they reallize that any constructive criticism (see Chris' note above) is meant to be just that. If we didn't care we would just shut up and take our business elsewhere.
As a service provider I know it's when your customers stop complaining that you really need to worry - it means they think you don't care or won't do anything to improve service so they just take their business elsehwere.

Done.... not sure where that one came from! I wonder who would ask to take it down... doesn't make much sense to me. Posts: 1045 | From: Seattle, WA | Registered: Nov 2001

Done as well. Dave seems to go through these things every few years. I can recall they did shut down for a brief period. That's how this board was born. Oh well, at least he'll know how we feel.

Rich, you hit the nail right on the head.
Hopefully cooler heads will prevail.
fwiw... my contacts know when you posted your opinions a few months back, it was just that.... constructive criticism. Unfortunately, those people I have access to are not the ones stirring the proverbial pot.
I am hoping come SLP CAD in October, we will get an opportunity to meet and discuss some of these issues with the players involved. My only regret it that its 4 months away.

The thread is gone, so I'm assuming the overwhelming positive responses were enough to be put to good use. I hope we see the SLP board around for a long time. I'm going to go ahead and close this thread down because it has served its purpose. Thanks for stepping up with your honest responses and feedback.
