I had to take Steve's cat, Pirate, to the Kitty Doctor this a.m. Pirate has had some reflux and a cough for the past few days. We were worried his cough might be the start of Congestive Heart Failure, but the x-ray came up nice and clear (thank goodness). Seems he might be having some stomach trouble from the meds (Atenolol, Enalapril & Aspirin) he gets for treatment of his Cardio-Myopathy. It looks like I'll be adding a fourth medication Sucralfate to his daily routine to help buffer the Aspirin better. Here's a link to a description of the condition on a ferret website.
