I am but never paid that close attention. I think I'm around 2000-2100 rpm's. I'll be out some today and double check.
The 4.10's make 5th and 6th gears MUCH more friendly to use. You'll love them, they are perfect for the 6M.

That's about dead on. At 120 km/h (75 mph) I'm at 2200-2250 rpm in 6th. I will echo Kevin's assessment of having 4.10s with a 6MN, as I'm sure just about everybody here who has them will as well. I've had mine in now for 3 years - no problems at all. Just don't go putting drag radials on the car and launching at 5 grand unless you want to end up having to buy a 12 bolt rear end!

I checked closer while I was out, at 55 mph I was at about 1500 rpm's, at 70 mph I was between 1900-2000 rpm's.

It was the first and best mod I did. Makes the car wake up in low gears and doesn't effect the highway driving at all. Stop light to stop light is alot more fun!

I made up a spreadheet just for these calculations.
With 4.10 rear gear, the stock T56 (6th gear is 0.50:1), and using the stock tires, the RPM is 1,873.
Anyone want a copy of the spreadhsset, send me your email address.
Send to: http://greg.pascal@mindspring.com and I'll send you the file. You need Microsoft Excel. I'm running Excel from Office XP, but Excel 97 will open it just fine.

... or go to http://www.f-body.org/gears/ and fill in the information that is appropriate for your vehicle (tire size, rear axle ratio, gear ratios etc.) Interesting chart to play with...

I've been thinking about doing this one. What is best to do as far as speedometer recalibration goes? Reprogram or use SLP's recalibration processor?

Haven't recalabrated,can runs exactly 20KPH over at 110 KPH[reads 130],so I just extrapolate from there

Cheapest is probably the SLP speedo processor, which is how I did mine. The HPP3/Predator/LS1 Edit will also do this, but they are more expensive. Depending on what else you might be planning to do on the car, this route might be more economical in the long run. Otherwise, if you ever decide to do re-program/tune your PCM, it is a simple matter to have the speedo re-calibrated at the same time as when you do the tuning. BTW, Greg's spreadsheet is amazing, with a whole bunch of great formulae on it!!

Is anything else required? I read a bit about retaining ABS functionality? Would you lose this without the reluctor ring?

Depends on whether or not you have traction control. If your car has traction control then you have 4-channel ABS and there is no reluctor ring in the diff. With 4-channel ABS the reluctor rings are at each of the rear wheels. There are also two brake lines coming from the body to the axle.
If you do not have traction control, then the reluctor ring must be retained in the diff in order for ABS to contiune to function.
The SLP speed processor works great....absolutely no issues with it. It allows you to use the stock PCM program if your want. One note, apparently, the GM Tech II can tell that there is a device connected to the BCM.
Also, I think (and this is strictly my opinion) your car will more sensitive to the pinion angle being off if the car is lowered, since the drive shaft will be spinning faster. This will be felt as a vibration or heard as a drone (like a multi-engined prop plane when the props are not synchronized).
Stil, it is amazing how this mod wakes te car up and well worth the effort.
