Looking for part # 16817245 - white leather cover for the back portion of the back seats.
Supposedly this part is discontinued in Canada, but I was wondering if anyone can call their local dealership and find out if it is still possible to obtain this part for me (maybe they have it in stock?).
Please let me know if anyone can help me out!!
Thanks much in advance!!

Searched the entire country and not one dealer out there has your cover. I used the D2D (OE Connection Dealer to Dealer) search which most GM stores use. Sorry... depending on what you need an upholstry shop may be able to hook you up... moral of this story, buy an extra set of seat covers while you can.

One note... there are a lot of dealers that don't have a locator or don't use the GM one. One option for you or your dealer to check is parts voice, I believe they have a web site. You can check here:

Isn't GM suppose to stock replacement parts for 10 years?

Only on crash parts... interior is much less, typically less then 5 years. Often its only a few so if you have an 02 get em while ya can.
Now where's their thinking in that? Oh, like the interior isn't in danger of getting soiled and/or damaged in a crash? Food can spill, coffee or soda pop can splash around causing stains, loose objects could be projected and tear the seats, body fluids stain......you get my point.
Even if there isn't a crash, the interior is the first to show wear and get stained just from daily use.
Thank goodness we bought a full set of white seat covers and have a set of white seats from a '98 in storage....we should be good for awhile.
