I'm really interested in the aftermarket cars produced by Matt Murphy and GMMG. Have any of the SSOA members purchased one of the 69 ZL-1's? There were apparently less than 30 produced with the base engine...the LS-6 out of the Corvette. The rest had a MONSTER 427 out of DEI that is said to be 650hp! This car comes with a roll cage!!! A guy by the name of Charlie Lillard here in California has one of each...the '69 and '02 ZL-1's! He belongs to Camaro Generations in the Sacramento area, but is not an SSOA member as far as I know. I think Charlie has a number of other valuable Camaros as well. Anyone have any other info on these new ZL-1's? Also hear that Berger Chev in Detroit and Joel Rosen of the fabled Motion Performance are talking to Matt about producing more Motion Camaros. It's been rumored that Berger is buying all the Z-28's they can find at US dealers.

Interesting, thanks for info. I don't know of any members that own either of the two.

Same here. I don't know of any members ( and don't know very many....LOL ) that have both ZL-1's, but I did see alot of them at Camarofest and they are sharp. I wouldn't mind owning either one, but $70,000 plus is a little expensive for me for the 02.
Maybe a member will step forward and say if he/she has both. Would be great to hear. Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003

The price quoted in one of the responese is for the base model. The price for the monster than Charlie has is more like $87,000! The engine upgrade alone is $25,000.

Those are some awesome picks Greg. Charlie is one lucky guy. He has two very rare and valuable cars there.
Voiceguy that is one totally awestruck price. No way could I have afforded the 02 ZL-1. $25,000 alone for the engine is out of my price range alone. I remembered some of the prices from pics that Greg Jackson took at Berger Chevrolet and I believe a couple of the cars were in the $70,000 - $77,000 range depending on what options were included. These people are very lucky to have these cars especially when only 69 were produced just like their 1969 counterparts.

The 69 he was offered according to Fbody Father Scott Settlemire $300,000 and he turned it down, if this is the Yellow one that was at Berger for the delivery of the 18 ZL1 2002 from the awesome crew at GMMG! The motion cars were created by motion performance I believe out of New York by Joel Rosen and crew they offered a Camaro and Vette Sold in Phases 1-3 with different performance levels these cars were street cars that could do battle at the track and win most races!

I have a Berger SS - does that count? One of a kine Electron Blue w/ Phase 2 package!
The ZL-1's certainly are tasty, and the rumor on the Motion Camaro is true.
