I just got home from work today. Took the highway home and passed a white 5.0 Mustang. After I leasurely pass him, he gets a nice look at my license plate "SVT THIS". Lo and behold, I look in my rearview mirror and see the pleasant flash of his middle finger. He had it ccked there for AT LEAST a minute as I kept on driving by. He then got off the next exit. LOL!!!! I love it!

I had a guy pull up next to me in a Junkstang whle on the freeway one day. He looked at me and jumped on it to cut in front. I just shook my head as he loked in the mirror and slowly mouthed, " You ain't got nothing on me my friend ", he then took off and never looked back after that. One of my good freinds has a 1999 SVT Cobra, VERY nice car by the way, and we go to cruise-ins all over the Norhtwest almost every weekend. We park my '02 SS Vert and his car side by side, both are black with factory chrome wheels. We have a heck of time showing others how a rivalry can be freindly. Believe me we do some trash talking in defense of our respective brand names.
Be it Bow-Tie, blue oval, Mopar whatever, cool is cool. Why argue and get upset over it, when you can have FUN with it instead.

When I was driving home from the Bear Mt. car show the other night with the top down, a Mustang GT pulled along side and goosed it a couple times staring over at me - I smiled - he goosed it a few more times - I smiled larger - then he took off.
I call it quiet confidence. Man I love these cars!

I never argue about cars because we all have our likes and dislikes. When I was younger my brother had a 68 Cougar, great car and he took care of it, but the darn engine would always go on him. He had a 302 in it and had to keep replacing it until he just got fed up and vowed never to buy another Ford product again. I always helped him and that is where I learned about cars.
He bought a 69 Corvette with the 427 - 390 hp engine. He still has it to this day. His other cars include: 1977 1/2 Camaro Z-28, 2003 50th Anniversary Corvette. His loyalty to Chevrolet rubbed off on me.
Nothing wrong with friendly rivalries, but there are quite a few out there that want to showoff. I am against that. Too many people have gotten hurt and killed by this, and like I said a while ago, I almost flipped a car of mine over racing a friend and after that I vowed never to race or showoff again. I have kept that promise to this very day.

Dan, i love that plate. i saw someone in california with that same plate, and really wanted to get it, but i don't like to copy-cat. plus, oregon only has 6 letter/number regulations.
