Whew! Guess my cheque (Canadian spelling) cleared then! You wouldn't believe some of the horror stories about what has happened with my cheques that are drawn on a US$ account - with a Canadian Bank!! (Bank of Montreal)

With working in a bank...it's not as simple as depositing a canadian check (canadian funds) in a US bank account...painful process...and if someone doesn't do it right, both accounts get screwed up Oops! sorry for the vent Posts: 2651 | From: Enola (Harrisburg Area), Pennsylvania | Registered: Jan 2002

Yeah... I understand... but this is depositing US funds from a US dollar account into another US account. It should be very simple, but I hate to tell you how many times the bank in the US has messed this up! The only change in the process is that the cheque is drawn on a bank that happens to be on the other side of the border. Nothing else is different! A lot of US banks can't seem to handle the concept that a Canadian bank can offer its customers a US$ chequing account!

Perhaps some don't realize that a "cheque" and a "check" are the same thing.
I've not had any trouble, other than vendors just plain refusing to take a U.S. $ cheque drawn on a Canadian Bank ... TD in my case ...because of problems they've had in the past.

Kevin, If they haven't paid by this time. I would list their names on the board. Maybe that would get their a** in gear. Why should you take the loss.

I don't want to embarrass anyone, it is easy to forget things sometimes. That is why I send the e-mails and a post like this as a reminder.

Well Kevin, its time to post his name. Anybody that lets it go this long, deserves to be embarrassed.

It has already been shipped and received back when all the others were done. I just haven't received the payment. The person didn't respond to the last e-mail I sent out. Guess I'll e-mail them again.

DITO! ...
Kevin, Send them their last email and mention you will post their name. It seems to me for the length of time this has gone on that you have given them (way) more time than is necessary. Sure people are busy, they forget, ...well you've remended them, ...time for them to pay....
