Well, I have been working through the night on the power issues here in NYC. Our generators (3 of 6) began failing 4 hours in (not LS1 powered), building cooling pumps failing, IT infrastucture overheating, oy!
Anyway, figured I'd start the Friday post as long as I'm still up!
How's everyone else doing with this?
Have a great one all.

No power at home - but at the office I'm o.k.
Seems to be coming on slowly block by block.
Hope everyone stays cool. I'm concerned about the seniors. There are many on Oxygen that need the power on to operate. If this was an accident you can see how much damage can be done if someone were to damage the grid "on purpose".
Have a great weekend all - play hard, be safe.

Our power went out around 4:00 PM yesterday, and came back on at 3:30 AM this morning (so I'm told). No problems driving home from work as most people were patient and treated each intersection as a four-way stop.
My boss scheduled a garden party at his 'little' 12,000 sq. ft. estate home last night. We decided to go ahead without power, with candles and a BBQ. It turned out to be a great evening sitting under the stars. We made sure we drank all the chilled wine, so it wouldn't get warm due to the lack of power. It was real spooky driving home in the dark with no traffic or street lights.
As Art would say, another great day here in the Peg! Have a gr8 weekend all.

Absolutely!!
Spent part of the evening under the Zed yesterday cleaning the right side of the chassis. That's all done now. As work lists permit I should actually be starting with wrenches soon

Power was out last night - PSE&G didn't have power, but JCP&L did - go figure.
Looks like NYC will be down for a while. I also saw where they're saying Detroit won't have power until at least Sunday.
Have a good one!
