Well, I have been working through the night on the power issues here in NYC. Our generators (3 of 6) began failing 4 hours in (not LS1 powered), building cooling pumps failing, IT infrastucture overheating, oy!

Anyway, figured I'd start the Friday post as long as I'm still up!

How's everyone else doing with this?

Have a great one all.

No problems here. My brother got stuck in NY for the night, (or until they let the busses through the tunnel again).

Hang in there!

Gmorning everyone!!

Everything was OK here, but I called my mother and brother, they were without power, they live in the Detroit area.

Drove the SS to work today, the forecast calls for a dry day. This will be the first day in August that there hasn't been rain.

No power at home - but at the office I'm o.k.

Seems to be coming on slowly block by block.

Hope everyone stays cool. I'm concerned about
the seniors. There are many on Oxygen that need
the power on to operate. If this was an accident
you can see how much damage can be done if
someone were to damage the grid "on purpose".

Have a great weekend all - play hard, be safe.

G'morning! [Smile]

Our power went out around 4:00 PM yesterday, and came back on at 3:30 AM this morning (so I'm told). No problems driving home from work as most people were patient and treated each intersection as a four-way stop.

My boss scheduled a garden party at his 'little' 12,000 sq. ft. estate home last night. We decided to go ahead without power, with candles and a BBQ. It turned out to be a great evening sitting under the stars. We made sure we drank all the chilled wine, so it wouldn't get warm due to the lack of power. [Big Grin] It was real spooky driving home in the dark with no traffic or street lights.

BTW: 34 days 'til SSOA Thursday @ BG.

Absolutely!! [Cool]

Spent part of the evening under the Zed yesterday cleaning the right side of the chassis. That's all done now. As work lists permit I should actually be starting with wrenches soon [Smile]

Y'all have a great day, eh ....hope the power issues are resolved soon. [Smile]

Mornin' all!

Power was out last night - PSE&G didn't have power, but JCP&L did - go figure.

Looks like NYC will be down for a while. I also saw where they're saying Detroit won't have power until at least Sunday.

Have a good one!

Good Afternoon all. Power finally came on here around 1:00 this afternoon. Its starting to come on in Downtown Detroit Sporadically.

I am just glad to see how everyone has been taking this situation and making good out of it and helping others in need. Great to see everyone coming together like the Brothers and Sisters we are. [Big Grin] [Wink] [Smile] [Cool]

Have a great day and night.
