I have heard lots of stories about JeffY, all good of course, and I know how much he has put into SLP and his previous jobs. There are lots of things we can thank Jeff for, from the info on the SLP board, engineering our SLP cars, and even the Mobil 1 oil sticker thing that he put on the corvette (yes I remember you telling me that at skyline)
good luck in the future, JeffY! Don't be a stranger!

Jeff, all the true F body enthusiasts owe you big time. The SS and the Firehawk, hoods and spoilers have your fingerprints all over them. It makes our cars truly stand out.

I'm very sad to see Jeff go I was asked to share this here about Jeff...
I entered the fbody scene in July of 99 when I bought my 94 V6 Firebird and found the message boards soon after that. I believe it was Ken that told me about the SLP board when I was on fbody.com. I found alot of friends on that board and I read about the Skyline Cruise. I didnt go to the first Skyline Drive but made it a point to go to the one in Sept 2000. Jeff came with the XthMen Hawk and his brother-in-law I believe. To me it was like a celebrity had come to the event. He was one of the first ones to come up to me and tell me how much he liked my car and that I did a nice job of pulling everything together on it. And I had felt kind of like the odd-woman out because I had a V6. Now no one made me feel that way but I was the minority there with all the V8'ers . Anyway I no longer felt that way after he came up and talked to me. And to top it all off he invited me to have breakfast with he and his brother-in-law!! It was really something for me...like I said...like a celebrity. I know when I got back to PA where I lived at the time I told everyone about Jeff and the whole event and how great it was. I met alot of other great people too from the SLP board....including one crazy person that's special to me....DigitalMan
Also I still have the 10th Hawk brochure that Jeff signed! I remember when he handed it to me that I asked him to sign it and he was quite surprised that I thought he should sign it....he was humbled I think
Anyway...very sad to see him go..and the SLP board...its like taking the peanut butter out of a Reese's Cup

Thanks for all you've done for me ...and the community. I'm sure we'll meet again, sooner, rather than later.
If you're still unemployed, you'll have time to come to Bowling Green and just "hang" with friends!!
My silly JeffY story ... when I was learning all about Camaro SS and Y2Y in early 1999 there was this "JeffY" guy that would post responses like he knew what he was talking about. I finally asked who he was ...the answer I got was "you can take what he says to the bank ... there's Ed the father, Dave the son, think of JeffY as the holy spirit of SLP".
Not long after someone finally e-mailed me to let me know he was the Chief Engineer Posts: 4222 | From: Winnipeg MB CA | Registered: Feb 2000
