I'd like to say, that on August 27th, let's celebrate and reflect as we come to one full year of no Camaro and Firebird production.
On that day, drive your F-Cars with pride and reflect on the long history that comes with these cars. The Camaro and Firebird have become part of the American icon. The countless movies, TV shows and commercials we see the F-Car in still to this day. I'm even amazed how many F-Cars I see each day.
So show your apprectiation on August 27th to all the men and women, who for 35 years, put blood sweat and tears into building such a fine automobile by driving with your lights on.
And keep your sense of hope alive that someday, the Camaro and Firebird will return.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I am sure a surprise is in the offing for a new Camaro/Firebird. Hang in there. Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003

Last year I was at a cruise night on Wednesday, August 28th. To note the end of the Camaro and Firebird production I had a small flag at half mast by the air box with a notation that the last Camaro and Firebird had rolled of the assembly line the day before. A lot of people stopped to read it.
I just took a look at the calendar and the 27th is on a Wednesday....the night of the cruise. I think I will be doing something similar this year.
