Since I have become a Zaino convert ( the SS came out great!) I decided to Zaino-ize my dark blue XC90. It turned out very good- except I got streaks on the hood.
I used Z-2 with ZFX, and Z-6 (sparingly) afterwards.
Any suggestions? TIA.

It could be the Z6 leaving streaks...I get that sometimes too. You have to make sure you wipe it completely dry. Try the Z6 again on the hood, it should take the streaks away.

Thanks for the reply- you're right about the excessive Z6.
I ended up using a dampened applicator and a towel, and it looks OK.
Now comes the Vette- it just got the bath with Dawn, and I just mixed some Z5 and ZFX. The paint is still in great shape ( except for the chips and stuff ).

On dark colours mix the Zaino Z6 50 - 50 with distilled water, apply sparingly and will not streak.

On a hot surface, spray the Z-6 on the towel, instead of on the surface, it makes it much easier to use. On a hot surface the Z-6 almost flash dries, causing streaks.
Using too much Z-6 will also cause streaks, if not buffed off quick enough.
The 50/50 mix with distilled water also helps make it easier on a hot surface.

I had a streaking problem on the black part of the T-top this weekend. It was hot, and I didn't wipe it quick enough. That's a good tip about the distilled water 50/50 mix. I'll try that, thanks. Posts: 641 | From: northern Delaware | Registered: Jul 2002
