Who plans on attending? My son will be bringing his 1979 Berlinetta LS6 454 for it's maiden voyage down the 1/4 mile and the maiden voyage for my new tow beater, the 1990 Suburban. I hope the Berlinetta runs better than 13's with the bad traction problem it has.Anyone going on Friday and live on the eastern side of the state that wants to caravan, let me know. [Cool]

Andy, here is the message on the dealer website. [Smile]

Friday afternoon Drag Racing opp. - US131 Motorsports Park

Streamlined Show Format: Car Show, Cruise, BBQ
and Photo Opportunity - All at Berger on Saturday

Awards for the "Top 25" Chevrolets at the show

Saturday Evening Cruise followed by BBQ at Berger Chevrolet

Please come and join us at BERGER CHEVROLET in Grand Rapids, where performance is STILL very much ALIVE!! Yes, Yenko, Nicky, Dana, Baldwin-Motion and Fred Gibb Chevrolet are sadly long gone, but Berger Chevrolet is still very much in business. At a time when some dealerships change hands several times a year, or even close, Berger is still owned and operated by the Berger family, as it has been since 1925,
some 78 years ago!

To celebrate their performance heritage, Berger is throwing a party in the form of an ALL CHEVY SHOW. The show will go on RAIN or SHINE and will be an indoor/outdoor show. Over the last three years, the show has grown into a national caliber event with participants coming from all over the United States and Canada. Hosted by the Western Michigan Camaro Club, the show will be on Friday, August 29,and Saturday, August 30, 2003. All Chevrolets, (Chevy bodied and Chevy powered) are welcome to attend, and we would especially like to invite any of those "Berger" Chevys from the 60's and 70's to attend. Think of it as a homecoming! There will be several "Milestone" Berger Chevys on display, as well as the latest Berger Special Edition SS and Hot Rod Magazine Limited Edition Camaros on hand for all to see.

This year we will be returning to the beautiful US131 Motorsports Park for an afternoon of drag racing time trials on Friday, August 29. Besides having a chance to run your car down the drag strip, we've got a couple of other surprises in store that you won't want to miss.

Show Details:

Drag Activity:
Friday 12 to 5pm at US131 Motorsports Park
Show Entry Fee: $10.00 per car
Drag Time Trial Entry Fee: $20.00

At Berger Chevrolet:
9 am - 4pm on Saturday August 30
followed by the awards ceremony.
Top 25 Awards immediately following events.

Scenic Saturday Evening Cruise:
Following the awards, there will be a scenic cruise of the surrounding area ending back at Berger for an onsite BBQ. After dark there will be an opportunity to have your car professionally photographed in front of the Beautiful Berger Chevrolet Dealership.

Man thats a shame the show is only one day. [Frown]

I figured it out, with one button I can find "last years" ad, which has the three day event.

Sorry to hear the Brick Yard won't be coming to the show, but I can understand the mileage issue.

But hey - you have a "tow" vehicle . . . . [Razz]

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
