Just currious if anyone has owned BOTH.... reason is I need a louder muffler. I bought my dad a Corsa for his 02 SS and it makes my 02 SS w/CME sounds weak.... I really like the corsa sound and I know the GMMG is louder (or should I say loudest) but I'm afaraid of the cabin noise. I plan to run whatever I get through the CME tips ut I don't know what I want.

you want a "loud" muffler but you are afraid of the cabin noise?????? thats like "i want excellent traction from my tires but i want good treadwear".... the trade off dude.
the Corsa is NOT loud.... not in my book its not.
you want loud? get the slp loudmouth.....we have them on both our birds. performance.....and loud. have your cake and eat it too.

With stock manifolds and cats you'll be happy with the GMMG. With headers you'll need to add some extra muffling.

Yeah I know... I'm pickey. I don't want head pounding drone... which the Loud mouth has a rep. for. I really like the "clean" sound of the Corsa.. mine SLP Center mount exhaust is weak. I'm leaning towards the GMMG since I want everyone to hear me comming.... Posts: 1045 | From: Seattle, WA | Registered: Nov 2001

Thats what I have...all stock. I was just currious if there was much difference between the two. I can get a Corsa a lot less then I can the GMMG. So my thinking is if its similar I'll go with the Corsa.

the gmmg system that i have has been on my 2000 SS for two years now, really the best you can get for the money, trust me on that.....the system is not really loud, until you put your foot in it...then the LS1 comes on like a big block.......check out some sounds bits from GMMG, that will convince you... kickback 2000SS Coupe M6 2400 actual miles

I have checked out GMMG's site... IMHO clips on a computer and in person sound a lot different. I will probably go with the GMMG. Its just I haven't heard one in person to make a good judgement. Posts: 1045 | From: Seattle, WA | Registered: Nov 2001

Just get the GMMG and know that you have the absolute best sounding exhaust for an f-body.

I second that. I've had my GMMG on my SS since Dec. of 01. Last Sept. I added FLP LT headers. With the ORP it is really loud ,but with the cats on it is just right. DaddySS must have sensitive ears.

I went with MagnaFlow though...I didn't want my car too loud. Its a nice "in the middle" muscular sounding exhaust at idle and cruise but really cranks it up when your foot is in it.

I'm with Ken....Loudmouth in a CME is not TOO loud due to the additional bends. I do not have any drone issues at all.

MM, I felt the same way about the CME; very weak sounding. I bought the GMMG and retained the CME look. One word AWESOME: D. There is no annoying cabin noise. I cannot speak about the Corsa but I do recommend the GMMG!

Thanks all... I was just wondering if I could get away with getting the Corsa if it was nearly as loud. I work with them on stuff and could get a great deal which is why I got my dad one.... but I was leaning towards the GMMG its just that it cost more.... guess I'll be saving a little longer.
