Yesterday my friend and I were out shopping for a new car for him, he just became a full-time firefighter and has some money to spend now. We were at the Chevy dealer looking at trucks when we came across a brand new vert black SS on the lot under a tent. There were a few guys there looking at it, I commented to them that I had an 02 SS and that they should get it, they'd have fun. After a test drive the guy got out and said he was "disappointed" and that it "didn't throw me back as it should". I told him that the LS1 is a VERY powerful engine and if he thought it was disappointing that he'd have a hard time finding a sports car in the same price range with more performance because he didn't want a Cobra either. Here is the funny part, our performance buff then walks back across the lot and gets into a minivan .......my friend and I were cracking up the whole way home thinking about this guy basically calling the SS slow and then getting into the performance powerhouse which he calls a Dodge Caravan.

He probably could not afford the SS.I suppose his mini van is quicker than the SS. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

What cracks me up are the guys in the "old and busted" '87 Toyota Corollas plastered with #3 Dale Earnhardt stickers. Posts: 26 | From: Aldie, VA | Registered: Aug 2003
