Well, the Fbody gathering is right around the corner. Unfortunately it'll be a repeat like last year where I didn't have it together for the event. Of no fault of my own as the guy who was porting my heads took 7 months to do em [Frown] I finally got them back at the beginning of this week and dropped them off at the machine shop for flo benching, but they said it'll take a week for them to get done [Frown] Which is REALLY sucky because the intake still needs to be port matched to the gaskets, which I can't do till the heads are bolted on so we can put the intake on and align the gaskets appropriately. [Frown]

Not only that, I still need a driveshaft. Problem is I need a custom one built due to length issues. Well, yeah, that sucks cuz i can't take measurements since the car isn't together. So I "guesstimated" a reasonable length for it, I hope I'm right.

I was hoping to take it this year to show it off. Not a super show car or anything, but its a bit on the original side IMO. If there are other similar to it, I don't know of em.

Last year I couldn't take it because the speed shop ordered me the wrong set of gears for my 12 bolt. This year, well its a lil more complicated than that. The rear end is out again, i'm sand blasting it now getting it ready for a good solid paint job.

The transmission is still in pieces. I had issues last year with output shafts so I bought a new output shaft and had the whole tranny cryogenically treated. I prolly could put it together in a day, but I'm worried about getting other stuff done first. The K member still needs to be dropped where a BMR tubular one will take it place.

Need to finish the LS1 brake conversion, can't do that till I sand blast the spindles, hopefully tomorrow along with the rear end.

Arrrrrgh. . . So much to do and I doubt I can do it, cuz I still have to get the intake port matched as previously mentioned AND get the thing powdercoated. . . PLus I would need an alignment after its all said and done. . . [Mad] Not my year for cars. . .

Oooh, that sucks.

If there's any way you can make it anyway, I'm sure you'd have a great time.

How did it take him 7 months to port your heads? A competant machinist can do it in less than 1 day!?!?!?!? Thats insane...

Sorry to hear your car's not together, but I love you avatar!

Money issues with him is the main reason. He's a personal friend of mine, only reason I held out was because he's the best I've seen. The heads are maxed ported now so now I don't hafta deal with anymore head work from here on out.

Not trying to downplay it all, I'm still quite upset over that fact. [Mad] Even if he did a an hour a weekend it woulda been done long before now! Wasn't like he had to start from scratch, they already had a good amount of metal already shaved off, all he had to do is clean them up.

I'll post the flow numbers sometime this week, they better be hella good for the wait.
