Looks sharp. I will have to show my brother. He's into Corvettes like I am into Camaros. Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003

The front end kinda looks like a Pontiac Sunfire! Whatever the C6 Corvette will look like will be a winner! Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

I think i'm liking it. I'd definitely have to see it in person to confirm that though....or more pics. It's a good mix of curves and edges. Front end could be a bit more 'smoother'. Just my 2 cents. If I had the money, I'd get one!

Looks sharp...though it is kinda retro.....looks sorta like the 68-72 Stingrays.
Retro is okay by me.

Well if JeffY had something different at Skyline then I guess we will just have to wait and see what is truly unveiled. And I know we can count on JeffY. Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003

That front-end has got to go! At least the headlights. It really looks like a cadalac to me. The rest of the car is looking good, I like the angles for a change.

More fuel to the rumor mill... I remember reading in one of the magazines that the C6 would have fixed headlights. I also heard (strictly a rumor) that the '05 C6 is now slated for an early introduction!! The sharp-edged look really ought not to be too surprising, since the XLR is made on the same line as the XLR. Some of the C6 spy shots did not indicate these sharper lines - or they were camouflaged very well! As well, I have heard that the base model's GEN IV engine will have power levels approaching that of the current Z06. The Z06 is supposedly taking a short hiatus (nobody seems to be able to say for exactly how long), but will return with even more power and be able to compete more closely with the Viper. In any event, it sounds like GM is upping the ante in the performance department, which ought to help those who are not thrilled with the new styling to forget about that real fast!

I understand that Vette does some platform sharing with the Cadillac CTS. So it's no surprise that there would be some resemblance to it.

Agree, let's hope they don't sharpen the lines like that.
Ditto - the Vette should flow - not have jagged edges. I don't even like the new truck front end look. Angles don't do it for me. My $0.02.

Don't like it, especially that front end. Also, the side scoops look way too much like what you'd see on a Ferrari.

The XLR not CTS. Basically the XLR is riding on a slightly moddified C6 platform.
