I have been reading Travis' post on airlids and a question was asked what type of SLP airlid was on there. An SLP PP or SLPE. I am just curious as to know what the difference may be between the two as I have the 20hp package on my 35th LE SS.

Thanks in advance all. [Big Grin] [Smile] [Cool]

The SLPE lid was designed to OE specs-same material, same math data, same size. All fittings are OE type construction-part is injection molded;tested to OE specs. SLP PP lid is none of the above.

I believe 02 SS's came with the SLP engineering airbox and it was offered aftermarket to previous year's owners such as myself for upgrade HP's. I sent back the slp pp airbox because I thought it was cheap looking and paid the 300 bucks for the stock appearance and function of the oe slp box.

it was included if you ordered one of the SLP exhausts (dual/dual or CME)

I have the CME on my 35th LE SS and ordered the 20hp package. So far I haven't seen any rubs and hopefully won't. [Big Grin] [Cool] [Smile]
