My heart just sank when I read that Art. Really sorry to hear that.

Is there any chance that the ignition lock can be replaced today?? Even with a temporary cylinder.

I can imagine how you and Marion feel. In the past, one of my cars was vandalized several times and each time it made mr feel kinda of like I had been violated.

Look forward to seeing you at BG.

She left her purse, CDs and all the normal crap you keep in your daily driver. The theif has tried using her credit cards already and they still haven't found the car!

Some poeple suck!

Art, your Auto-x car is a 99 as well, right?? Swap out the steering columns between to 2 cars. The only problem is you will have to swap out the pcm and/or the bcm so the VATS system will work. Call me on my cell if I can be of any help. I will send you a pm with the ##.

Police ID did their thing and took the beer.

Now how do you wash this black stuff off your hands. [Roll Eyes]

Really good news though ...the bin of tools they had left out in the yard ....we couldn't go through it until the ID unit was done ... the camera bag with camera and cash was buried in the bottom.

Net result ...no financial loss, two ignitions that insurance will replace ...zero deductible and we take the Envoy on vacation. Not too bad at all. [Smile] and a lesson learned!!!

That's making lemonade out of lemons. I'm glad you got your $$$ and camera.
I still can't beleive how low some poeple can be. Nothing worse than someone violating your space and property. I still remember when I was about 11 years old and we went camping in Ensanada, Baja california. Somebody stold my dirtbike. It's a feeling that I'll never forget. I really hate theifs!

Hope you have a great time at BG. Looks like you've got a few rides for autoX, should be fun. In the big picture (that you've already mentioned) look at the friends you've got...can't imagine the peers these guys hang with.

Great news Art and another wonderful thing out of this is another great reminder of some of the friendshps found here. Most people here wouldn't let their own family drive there cars and here you get offers to take thiers and drive it hard on an autcross. Amazing how close it gets over time. I am moved

Yeah. that does suck. PoSSum, im sorry to hear about your experience. We have been robbed twice, both times when we lived in Britain. Once before christmas, and once after. The panicy fear of realizing that you are not safe, even in your own home, is a serious wake up call. its good that you recovered some of your stuff, but it still sucks about the ignitions in the cars.

Oh my God...Art, sorry I didn't see this earlier. I'm so sorry to hear about this. Man, this bums me out like I can't even begin to explain. At least there is no out of pocket loss, but they still messed with the car and that would be enough to make my blood boil.

I'm really glad to hear you'll still be making it to Bowling Green. Hopefully you'll find somebody who'll let you run in the AutoX...I'm still looking forward to a little friendly competition.

Hope everything works out for you in the long run. See you in a few days.

...very sorry to hear about this Art, but it sounds like when all is said and done, the actual loss/damage is minimal and most important no one was hurt...it's more of an inconvenience and a little change of plans, and like you said, a lesson learned. Don't let it get you down or dampen your fun at BG...

Sorry to hear something like that. I am fortunate to live in a very low crime area. We leave our condo unlocked during the day. When I read something like this, it reminds me we live in a world that no matter how hard you work for something, there will always be someone there to try to take it away. I just don't understand.

I Still Hope You Can Make It To BG. [Smile]
