I was just curious if anyone had an answer to this: around 4500-5000rpm's theres a sound comming from my car like someone tossing round small pieces of metal shavings of some sort. I cant tell if its from the trannie or theres just a branch thats stuck in a creavace of the frame. A similar noise happened at skyline, and it was just a dry piece of grass that got stuck on my frame and was bouncing around against the ground and frame anytime i slowed. Luckly I found it, but I'll check again later today again to see if anything is still underneath. The reason for me being that high with the rpms was because I decided to test my car on a back street before heading to the track incase of any strange noises. Haven;t been there ever since i heard that noise, and if anyone has any possible suggestions I'll take anything.
Thanks!! [Smile]

It's really hard to say what it could be, but I would start by looking at all the heat shielding around the exhaust.

A good friend had a funny noise something like that on his Camaro and it turned out to be a wiring harness rubbing/vibrating on the top of the bell housing.

Couple of places to start anyway.
