All I can say is WOW! What a great car. I can't believe how awesome that car is to drive.
I already had a Vette playing with me during my first drive (he never could pass me). I drove it to over to a local speed shop, and everybody came outside to greet the car. A guy in a completely restored 67 Mustang parked his car and even walked over to pay homage.
Definitely a head turn-er, you were all right. I'm so happy I made this purchase. Tom Henry is going to ship it for me this weekend. I'll have to wait to drive it in Colorado, we're getting snow this weekend.
I meet up with Tom on Sunday; I can't wait to thank him for being so flexible with me on this.
The sound is just awesome, those GMMG pipes are music to my ears, even though I still can't hear well, I can feel it.
Oh, I almost forgot. Can anyone tell me why on earth there is a 6th gear in that beast? As if I need it.
By the way, the person who posted the picture of the Monterey Maroon Camaro with the fender strips and Tom Henry sun visor logo, that's the car, (see the Tom Henry SS is almost mine post).
I didn't know Tom added those cool goodies to my new ride. It looks awesome.

The reason it has those stripes is because its a B4C car. It began life as a B4C Z28 and was transformed to a TH SS. Posts: 878 | From: Hoffman Estates, IL | Registered: Feb 2000

And you have the honor of having the only one done in that color

Thanks for the kind comments. Guess what, I think the MOD bug is starting to bite with that post about the PPC header purchase.
For the Castle Rock, CO post. Where abouts are you compared to Colorado Springs. Maybe we can meet up next week.
As for the rest of you, you can bet I'll be at the next big Camaro gathering as long as I'm not deployed to some far off third world country with lights getting my butt shot off. One purple hart medal is enough.
Do you really think it's a B4C Camaro. I thought those only came in hard tops and not T-tops. Please confirm for me. Thanks

Well, when I made the stripes and dashplates for Tom they were supposed to be for the B4C cars only. He may have decided to put them on other cars too. I really don't know. I do know that the car began life as a Z28 though. It's the only Monterey Maroon TH car. It wasn't painted by the dealer and SLP never made a maroon SS.

As for the B4C option. I think Tom made have added that just for lil ol me. I get to see him today and will thank him. I do agree it started out as a Z-28. Tom and crew had trouble getting more SS's in so they added the SS options along with the racing package. Added a hefty price to the final product, but I'm not complaining.
Can't wait to pick it up in Colorado Springs. I fly out on Monday for Colorado. Hope the snow is gone and sun is out.

Chief I may be wrong but I think your car already has headers as part of the TH package for the boost in HP. I know you will enjoy I have several friends who have the Tom Henry's and they love them

Not if it's a 380 HP. Only the 435s got the headers.

380s don't have headers...and your car started out as a Z28...so did all 1996 and 1997 SSs....
So pleased that you were able to get the TH Camaro.....and I don't think any of us will ever be able to repay you for your sacrifice for freedom....please...enjoy and I not only want to shake your hand (and sign the car) but buy you dinner..ASAP.....perhaps during the Denver Auto Show????
Good luck...many miles of smiles.....and wear your SSafety beltSS!

Just 30 Minutes north. Let me know if you have time (email) I also would like to shake your hand (my signature doesn't count on a Camaro). The weather should be beautiful!

Everyone is right, they do not have headers. Tom tells me they were "ported" to help with the air flow. Tom's 435 does not have headers either, his are ported also. I think you can add and delete what ever you like when setting up the order with GMMG.
I'll drop you an email "Castle Rock" when I get the car.
I'll take you all up on the handshake and Dinner (Scott) thanks again for your kind words and friendship. It means a lot to me. When I arrived in Butler I had WPXI, WTAE, Fox 53, and KDKA news camera's all over the place. It was a big surprise and wonderful reception back into Western PA. I leave this morning for Colorado and look forward to not doing any more TV interviews or radio stations. I'm just an average soldier who got wounded, nothing more. Some folks here pegged me for a hero. I explained to them that a hero is someone who has done something heroic. I've not done anything heroic I want to reserve those titles to the men and women who truly deserve it. I said paint me a patriot and I'll sign on to that.
Again I want to thank all of you patriots for your continued support of the men and women in uniform. I can't wait to meet each and every one of you at a future gathering. I'll be the one with the Maroon Camaro and the big smile on my face. See you soon.
Patrick
