Back to work after the storm. We had no damage, some of the people that I work with had a little damage from falling trees, but nothing compared to Fran in 96. We were very lucky this time. Will spend this week end helping people cut up trees that fell and have promised to help with the repair of a roof.
From John's (Old Coyote) drag racing files we bring you the picture of the day:
"Fast Eddie" Schartman at Orange County ................... along with "Dyno" Don Nicholson and the "Kumpf" group from Kenz & Leslie in Denver, Ed was a mainstay of the touring Mercury contingent in the mid '60's . Instead of migrating up to fuel dragsters after his time in Funny cars, he became quite involved and successful wit Pro Stockers.

Morning, It turned out better then expected here. Monday was a lot worse with all the flooding. A tree came down at a nearby house last night around 7 PM, knocking down the power line to one house, but luckily, it fell between the two houses. A few roads have been closed because on trees and there is the usual branches all over. Some roads are still closed from Monday’s flooding. The weekend is looking good thought.

Whew, that must be a relief for all you right-coaster's...I'm glad Isabel didn't rough you up too bad.
Looking like a beautiful weekend here. After 12 days driving around St. Maarten in a GUTLESS rental, I may have to take the SS out for a fun drive.

It's about time!!! This week went by WAY TOO SLOW!!!
Local f-bod club is meeting tomorrow for lunch and then a cruise up the canyons to see all the leaves changing. We have a nice time on this event. Temps should only be in the mid 70's so it should be great. Will be busy cleaning the SS's tonight.
Everyone have a great one and BE SAFE!!
