Well, the gm speakers are going finally, and decided to get pioneer ones. was going to change them early this morning, but for the middle speakers i couldnt get the panel off. Theres the little hanger piece thats holding the panel on. i got the screw on the bottom by the carpet, then i used a flattip screwdriver on the little hole on the plastic hanger holder. a piece of plastic moved out like 2mm, and thats it. was assuming it would come all the way out, but nope. Is there a tool that i have to use to get this off, does the piece twist off?(hanger holder) I didnt want to break anything, so i checked here to see if anyone knew. Thankx alot in advance [Smile]

If it's the coat hanger above the rear seats, here's what to do.

The middle plastic piece pops right out with some gentle force (it has a sawtooth stud). The hanger has two prongs that end up in a hole in the car's metal roof structure. The middle piece pushes out the prongs to hold the hanger in place and prevents it from coming out. Once the middle piece is removed, the hanger can be removed with some gentle coaxing.
