OK, it's only an appearance mod but what the heck, it's something a little different............hand laid fiberglass PCM Cover painted black to match the car. I ordered it from LS1 Speed Inc.

I just happened to have a spare Firehawk decal laying about that fit perfectly. Now I just need to add a coat or two of Zaino before I install it.

PCM Cover 1
PCM Cover 2
PCM Cover 3

Man, a buddy of mine just had his PCM replaced due to 5 years of moisture getting between the wiring harness plug and PCM. He thinks the water ran down that plastic hood tht runs below our windows and onto the PCM. I think he's been overspraying his engine bay, but it made me think why didn't GM cover the damn thing!!
Was that the $65 dollar piece? How long did it take you to get it?

looks great- I'd think about shooting some
hign heat clear on it before putting in on.

would protect it! [Big Grin]

Looks good.

That might be the answer to protect the PCM with that big hunk of cowl plastic removed from my Zed.

Any concerns about it trapping heat?

Thanks everyone.

Mario - Yes, that was the $65 part that was listed on LS1 Speed Inc. It took almost exactly 2 weeks from the date I ordered it to the day it arrived.

Hawkeye - Thanks for the tip about shooting it with some high heat clear coat. I was just going to add a few layers of Zaino but I guess the clear can't hurt.

PoSSum - The part is fiberglass so I doubt it would retain any underhood heat. The PCM is also far enough to the passenger side that it should not be affected by the heat from the long tubes.
