Hey Matt, the NJ law is pretty vague: 39:3-70. Mufflers Every motor vehicle having a combustion motor shall at all times be equipped with a muffler in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive or unusual noise and annoying smoke, and no person shall use a muffler cut-out, bypass or similar device upon a motor vehicle on a highway.
Therefore, it gives cops an opportunity to stop and check a "suspicious" driver. If you get stopped, just be nice and respectful and show all your paperwork, you will most likely be fine (and not fined!); its a pretty BS traffic stop in my opinion

If I'm at slp day(not lookin good, but should find out by tonight or tomorrow if my friend is going) then stop over, and would have no problems turning the car on and give a rev or 2 if ya want
