The weather and the turnout were great. It was wonderful seeing my friends. I hope to be seeing you all at Carlisle in 2004. [Smile]

Yes, it was a great day! Perfect weather. I saw some old friends and meet some new ones. I introduced myself to Scott S. and saw Dave. The new Corvette looked really nice. I think the turnout was just as good as last years. [Big Grin]

I didn't see Scott or the Corvette - where were they?

It was good to see some of the gang again, hope to see everyone again soon.

Indeed a great day for a car gathering.

DaddySS - the yellow Corvette was parked by the last SLP tent with the Monte and the GTX. Scott was just all over the place, as usual. He did come over and sit with us for a little while.

Got to be (temp) SLP staff for the day, saw some friends, made some new ones, signed up one or two to the SSOA and sold about 8 die-cast cars.

Lottsa good drag racing, too. I really enjoyed seeing the Chevy 1-ton dually (who had towed in a trailer) with the diesel that had a dial in of 15.7 that beat the Impala, with the hitch still attached.

Won't make fall Carlisle. I'm off to Road Atlanta next week for the Speed World Challenge, to crew for a GT car, and watch the ALMS teams. Then I have to finish prepping my 87 Trans Am for the two high performance driving events in Nov. I'll be instructing at Summit Pt and Lime Rock. They're free to get in and spectate, so if your in the area, come on out.

It was a so-so day for me. Got to meet some of the SSOA members and my friend Frank won 1st place in the Camaro catagory of the car show. I also gave one guy an application to join. At the end of the night during the T-shirt frenzy, I dropped my digital camera off my belt. Was about half way home before I realized it was missing. It's a shot in the dark but I plan to call SLP in jersey to see if anyone found it. Keep your fingers crossed. Maybe I'll get lucky.
