Got a postcard in the mail from Synovate Motoresearch. At first I assumed it was another extended warranty thing, but it's apparently some sort of focus group.
I doubt I'll call them, but I have heard people talk about stuff like this on the boards and the idea of having input on future automobiles is interesting.

I used to do alot of surveys for Synovate, which is actually a farily new name, they used to use a different name, but cant remember it offhand. FOr the most part, they just send out a bunch of surveys for you to fill out and return. If the survey is longer than normal, they'll occasionally toss in a dollar or two for your effort.
I did once get selected to take part in a automotive discussion group. I went to a local study facility and was in a room w/ 9 other folks and a lead research person. The subject was our reactions to several Toyota commercials and how we felt about the commercials, Toyota, and their cars in general. Was interesting to take part in, took about 2 hours, and at the end they gave us all a check for $100!

The postcard says something about $75 for 3 hours, but it's in Secaucus, which is a ways away, so I think I'll pass. Maybe I'll call just to see what it's about.
