Saw this when I was down at King of Prussia Mall a month or so ago..and because of my bad luck with my battery (still haven't got it checked out), saw this and wanted to you what you all thought. Never heard of jump starting your car through the cigarette lighter. Ah well. Just thought I'd share it. Hope this link works:

It should crank the starter over a few times.

Neighbor has one. His battery was completely dead when he tried it, and it didn't help at all. Not sure if it would help if the battery wasn't completely drained. As I remember the idea wasn't to crank the starter with it, but to leave it plugged in for like 30 minutes to add some charge to the battery.

Thanks for the responses. I'll have to see what the problem is first with my battery. If all else, I'll get an actaully emergency starter with jumper cables.
