Morning all .............. here we go again
The picture of the day ............. in the "Good old days" it was a rarity for "team" cars to face each other in the final round at events ............... because there were very few multi-car teams, and usually the second car was elsewhere match racing and bringing in the money
The first time a pair of team cars faced off was at the '70 Gatornationals ............. Larry Reyes in the "old" ('69) Candies & Hughes Barracuda versus Leonard Hughes in their new '70 Cuda .............. at the green, Reyes sat momentarily to insure the "boss" would win ............. then uncorked an unbelievable (for the time) 7.12 ET and almost caught Leonard ............... you just don't beat the boss
Tell that to Jake Johnston ............. in today's picture he is quite handily strapping it to the boss, Gene Snow, in this encounter at Bandimere .............. guess there weren't any driving orders here

I thought these cars were Dodge Chargers?

We had a productive weekend shoveling 6 yards of sand into our back yard drainage swale and our underground utility trench to the garage. We're one step closer to having power in the garage.
I was running out of steam when NateSS stopped by to get his SSOA die cast. He took over for me and helped Steve shovel the rest. Thanks, NATE!!!!! Posts: 7198 | From: Near Portland, Oregon, USA | Registered: Feb 2000

Howdy all. Balmy morning here...should reach the lower 70's this afternoon. Too bad it'll probably be accompanied by rain.
