I went to the Ferrari club's track day on Friday. I always thought it was invitation only so I have never been before. Awesome doesn't even begin to describe it. There were 2 Enzos (He paid $1.2 million for the red one)(They scratched the side of the yellow one unloading it from the truck. See the photo with the rear wheel in it, right behind the rear wheel below the red marker light. The owner didn't even seem to care. It appeared to be his truck and crew, he brought a few cars with him.), 3 F40s, 2 60's Lemans cars (The guy paid $6.7 million for the one with the number 6 on the side of it. It is a factory built Testarossa that won Lemans in 1962. I've seen him driving it on the streets on Sundays. He drove it about 70 miles to the track on public roads. His old car was a daily driver black F50, he sold it with 39K miles on it.) several 360s, 360 factory challenge cars, several 355s, a few SP-333s (awesome V12 sound) a 288 GTO and several other Ferraris. This was definately how the extremely rich play. 2 owners arrived at the track in seperate helicopters. Formula one driver Eric van de Poele was there doing some incredible driving in a 360 challenge car and a 333. One of the Ferrari of Houston race team drivers blew the engine in one of the 360 challenge cars. A piston skirt was one of the pieces that came out of the bottom of the engine. This event is held annually and it is something I don't want to miss next year. Too bad I don't have a car to participate with. Ferrari track day
