Anyone seen it?
...I'm in upstate NY and last night around 6-9pm, ...awsome!!!! Only the 2nd time I've ever witnessed it, ...very very cool [Cool] The sky was filled with a redish hue, white streaks, ...really neat.
Here's an MSN new link on the "northern lights", ...scroll down (quite a ways) in the article.

I have seen them before while at my uncle's house in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan.Up there in the summer it gets dark out around 10:30pm or so and you can see many more stars due to no city lights. [Cool]

Thanks!

The funny thing is that I forgot my tripod... I ended up using a rickety folding table and an eyepiece case to prop up the camera.... I was surprised as hell that they actually turned out OK.

I've been to Alaska in the winter many, many times, but not once was there ever a light show happening during my visits.

Steve and I drove 25 miles west away from the city lights on Halloween night. It was clear and cold though and the Milky Way looked pretty neat, but didn't see the Aurora. [Frown]
