Author Topic: aurora borealis ...(northern lights) RagSS 3rd Gear Member # 1127 posted                       Anyone seen it? ...I'm in upstate NY and last night around 6-9pm, ...awsome!!!! Only the 2nd time I've ever witnessed it, ...very very cool The sky was filled with a redish hue, white streaks, ...really neat. Member # 1388 posted                    Thanks! The funny thing is that I forgot my tripod... I ended up using a rickety folding table and an eyepiece case to prop up the camera.... I was surprised as hell that they actually turned out OK. [ 03. Steve and I drove 25 miles west away from the city lights on Halloween night. It was clear and cold though and the Milky Way looked pretty neat, but didn't see the Aurora.
