It's official. The family and I will move next month from Monterey, California to Fort Polk, Louisiana. Needless to say, it will be quite a change for us. But, this being our sixth "Army move," we are used to change.
In preparation for the big move, I'm driving the SS to Baton Rouge over the Thanksgiving weekend and leaving it with my parents. So, if you live along Interstate 5 in Cali or along Interstate 10 in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas or Louisiana, look for a black SS motoring east bound!

Good luck and safe travels. I just made that trip in my 01ss. Went from NJ to CA back to NJ and I spent a lot of time on Rte 10 on the way back...as I made a pit stop in New Orleans. It will be a great ride! The LS1 gets incredible highway gas mileage...and I'm no angel...

That is exactly what I was thinking! I have already talked it over with the wife. Barring some unforseen deployment, I'm there! Posts: 322 | From: Fort Polk, LA | Registered: Feb 2002
