Kinda miffed here...I know there are leaks from vehicles riding around with camo, but where the heck did this come from! Oh well, so much for keeping it under wraps until the auto show...
F-bod father: has GM released any pictures of this caliber? Hell, I see the fleet of C6's every day on the grounds, but still haven't seen what's behind the camo and I work in the same group that does the engine development for the LS2/LS7.
BTW....looks awesome. I'm so sick of GM trying to make these "bold" designs like the Avalanche or Grand Prix or Aztec. This is classy and should appeal to the current Corvette enthusiast as well as draw new customers (like me).

From what I have seen before, I think that this has got to be real close to the real thing. Who knows, this may be it. The only thing is that it resembles a C5 very closely and I would figure that GM would try to have a little more deviation from one Gen to the next.

I kinda like it, just thought there would be a bigger difference. To me it looks like the front is obviously different, but the sides and back look almost identical to a C5.

Someone has not been paying attention. There have been several spy shots of the C6 in Car & Driver, Automobile, AutoWeek. etc. Check Oct's. Car & Driver. This car matches all the pict. I've seen except for the tacked on rear fender extensions. If you compare the two pict. it's obviously the same car. The "V" hood line the door handle/position, the front light placement, the lower intake opening, the rear spoiler, etc., etc. are all there. The rear fender extention really have me confused. It almost appears to be a "body in white" at some racers shop being readied for next season. Jeff F, What's your point?

Im not really a vette fan, unless they are C4 or before, but its not bad. I think it has a lot of similarity to the C5, so they arent going to something as drastic as say... the 3rd gen fcar to the 4th gen, but I also see a lot of similarity to the Viper on the front end. I also dont see this as being an "aggressive" looking car, which I think the C4 and C5 have kept as part of their look. I do think that something done with the hood (ram air, maybe a shaker), might make it look a little more cool, but i think the C6 will just blend into the crowd from the front end. I think that was Jeff F's point, Z28SORR, its too much like everything else.
However, I do really like the rear, it looks more like an Fcar rear than a C5, IMHO, but I like it. Very nice butt for a sports car. Sides look good too, very F-like, but the front needs some snazzing up.

So you have Xray vision and can see through the cammo that the cars have been driving around in?? Pretty cool.
I don't have to have a point, just an opinion that for some strange reason the C5.5 looks like a few other current styles.

Don't know but I would hate to be the guy running the place where this was taken... there is going to be some serious fall out from these babys.

No official pics... it was supposed to be under tight wraps.... dealers got to see it in Vegas in september. That has been the only "showing" of it.... if you notice its a styling buck... look hard and you'll see why....

Even if the guys who were running this place are part of our group...I hope they go down for this. We at GM keep things under wraps for a reason.

Speculation in the Corvette world is it's a small manufacturor who does the euro export models. Hence the fender flares to encase the rear tire.

Looks pretty good. I agree it looks a little "Viper-ish" from the front.

GM stated a long time ago that it would not have retractable headlights!
That little feature is actually one of the main reasons I bought a firebird rather than a camaro. I think it has a unique look, and if they only fixed the motors so that they didnt break as easily, it would still be feasable, and add that unique look!!!

You don't need X-ray vision. As I stated, I have seen several pict. over the last year, one of which was "photo shopped" to remove the camo. They did a very good job.

True. And you don't have to have an opinion either. Just thought that you may have been inferring something other than the obvious, that they looked similar.

Hate to tell you but GM builds all the cars including export... nothing is outsourced for overseas ie outside company takes a US version and convert to euro spec. Companies may but its not blessed by GM. It was either taken at a supplier that does work for GM or was taken in some GM shop... its a little hard to tell where exactly it was taken but I have an idea....
As I said before there are clues in the picture you just need to look harder....
